Rotary… but not as you might expect.

When people hear “Rotary Club” they often picture weekly meetings, the same room, a formal meal, and a speaker.

That’s not us.

Here at Hereford Elgar Rotary Club, we do things a bit differently.

No weekly obligation.

No set meeting room.

No routine that feels like a chore.

Instead, we get out and about.

We visit brilliant local businesses for those money-can’t-buy evenings.

We organise events (our beer festival being a firm favourite 🍺).

We’ve been on cider visits, behind-the-scenes tours, and plenty of gatherings that involve good company… and often a decent tipple.

Our members?

A proper mix.

Young and old.

Men and women.

Couples, partners, individuals.

People who want to get involved—but not be tied down.

And alongside the fun, we get real things done.

This past year alone, we’ve donated over £12,000 to local Herefordshire causes—supporting charities, community groups, and people who genuinely need it.

At the same time, we’ve helped fund two water boreholes in The Gambia, transforming daily life for entire villages.

So yes—we enjoy ourselves.

But we also make a difference.

If you like the idea of doing something worthwhile, meeting interesting people, and having a good time along the way…

Why not come and see what we’re about?

Drop us a message—we’ll invite you along to something informal and you can decide for yourself.
