Colin Warne, based at Belmont in Herefordshire, is one of those people farmers quietly rely on when things need sorting — and sorted properly. While most of his customers are local to Herefordshire, his reputation travels. Calls come in from Bridgnorth, across the Welsh borders, and recently even from Portsmouth — where a farmer, let down at the last minute, turned to Colin to urgently source bean seed.
