This week Club and guests stepped over the border to Hay-on-Wye for an after hours tour of the newly renovated Hay Castle, led by the excellent Tom True of the @haycastletrust
We learned so much about the castle’s place in borderland history, the extensive renovation work carried out over four years, fires, and the self-proclaimed “King of Hay” Richard Booth.
We’re so impressed with this new community space packed with culture, and recommend a visit!
Food & drinks at the pub rounded off a fab evening with merry company.
Looking forward to visiting wonderful Wales again on our next meeting, when we’re down on the allotment
